Same-day · exam $95 · price in writing before we start
Emergency Dentistry
Toothache at 6 a.m.? Crown off? Chipped a tooth on a popcorn kernel? Call us — we hold same-day slots every single day, and the exam is $95. Cavities don't care how busy you are.
For the throb that kept you up, the tooth that met the pavement, the crown that came off with the caramel — and anyone told the next available appointment is in three weeks.

How it works here
Dental pain has terrible timing — it peaks at night, on weekends, and the week of your biggest deadline. That's why we hold same-day emergency slots at the studio every day we're open, on purpose, before anyone calls to claim them. Call when we open at 7:00 and you'll usually be in a chair before lunch. Ana answers the phone herself, and she will tell you straight what we can do and when.
First job: stop the pain. Emergency visits start with a focused exam and X-ray of the problem area ($95), then numbing if anything needs doing. Whether it's a lost filling, an abscess that needs attention today, a cracked tooth, or a crown rolling around in a sandwich bag in your pocket, most emergencies leave here the same day with the problem handled or honestly stabilized — and a written plan for anything that needs a second visit.
And if you call after hours, the voicemail gives you Dr. Castillo's emergency line for true urgencies — knocked-out tooth, trauma, swelling that's spreading. A knocked-out adult tooth has about a 60-minute window where saving it is very possible, so for that one: gently rinse it, put it back in the socket or in milk, and call while you drive. We'd rather be interrupted at dinner than have you lose a tooth politely.
What's included
- Same-day slots held every day — not 'we'll squeeze you in maybe'
- Focused emergency exam and X-ray — $95, quoted before you come in
- Numbing first, then diagnosis explained in plain English
- Most repairs handled on the spot: lost fillings, chips, re-cemented crowns
- Abscess and infection care with same-day prescriptions when needed
- After-hours line for true emergencies — trauma doesn't keep office hours
- A written, priced plan for any follow-up work before you leave
Emergency — what people actually ask
What counts as a dental emergency?
Anything that hurts, swells, bleeds, or broke. Severe toothache, a knocked-out or badly chipped tooth, swelling in your face or gums, a lost crown or filling with sensitivity underneath. If you're unsure, call anyway — Ana will triage honestly, and 'it can safely wait until Tuesday' is free advice we're happy to give.
How fast can you actually see me?
If you call when we open, usually the same morning — those held slots exist precisely for you. Later in the day, we'll be honest about whether it's today or first thing tomorrow, and what to do for the pain in between. What we won't do is offer you something three weeks out and call it care.
My tooth got knocked out. What do I do right now?
Find it, pick it up by the crown (not the root), rinse it gently — no scrubbing — and either place it back in the socket or drop it in a cup of milk. Then call us immediately. Reimplanted within an hour, teeth are often saveable. This FAQ is the one worth memorizing.
I don't have insurance. Can I still come in?
Absolutely. The $95 exam price is the same for everyone, every treatment gets a written price before we start, and the Juniper Plan or financing can make bigger fixes manageable. Pain doesn't check your benefits card and neither do we.
