How it works here

Here's the thing about dental cleanings: the hard part isn't the cleaning, it's the phone call. Most of the new patients who walk into Juniper haven't been to a dentist in a while, and most of them open with an apology. You don't need to apologize to us. Teeth don't keep a calendar, and neither does our judgment — because we don't have any.

Your first visit runs about an hour. Digital X-rays (a fraction of the radiation of the old film kind), a proper exam with Dr. Castillo where she shows you what she sees on a screen in front of you, and a cleaning that's thorough without being a workout. If anything needs attention, you get a written plan with real prices on it before you leave — not a phone call from a billing department three weeks later.

After that, we'll suggest a schedule that fits your actual mouth. Some people genuinely need a cleaning every three or four months; most do great at six. We'll tell you which one you are and why, and then we'll hold you to it with friendly text reminders instead of guilt.

I haven't been to a dentist in years. Will I get a lecture?

No. That's a house rule, and Dr. Castillo enforces it personally. You'll get a clear picture of where things stand today and a plan for where to go from here. What happened before today is old news, and we weren't there.

What's the catch with the $129 new-patient visit?

There isn't one. Exam, X-rays, cleaning — $129, all in. If you have periodontal disease and need a deeper cleaning, that's a different procedure and we'll quote it separately before doing anything. Nobody gets surprise-billed at Juniper. Ever.

Do cleanings hurt?

They shouldn't, and here they mostly don't. Our hygienists go at your pace, numbing gel is always on offer, and if you raise your hand we stop — not 'in a second,' but right then. If sensitivity is a thing for you, tell us and we'll plan around it.

How long does a first visit take?

Plan on about an hour. We book real appointment lengths instead of double-stacking the schedule, which is also why we run on time. Your lunch break is safe with us.
