The Juniper Plan is a membership program, not insurance. It can't be combined with insurance benefits — it exists for people who don't have them.
A third of our patients have no insurance. On purpose.
Our in-house membership for the third of our patients who don't have dental insurance — and don't need it to be cared for properly. Self-employed, between jobs, small-business folks, retirees who ran the math — the Juniper Plan covers the checkups and discounts the rest, with none of the paperwork theater.
Ask about the planWhy people stop dreading the dentist here
None of this is revolutionary. It's just what a dental office looks like when the person who built it used to hide from dentists in the car.
01
You'll know the price first
Every treatment is quoted in writing before we pick up a single tool. The paper is the bill. This rule has no exceptions and never will.
02
Same-week visits, held on purpose
We protect openings for new patients and hold same-day emergency slots daily. Cavities don't care how busy you are — so we plan for that.
03
We numb first. We explain always.
Nothing happens in your mouth before you're comfortable and you know what's coming. Raise a hand and everything stops. Instantly.
04
Locally owned, not a chain
Dr. Castillo owns the studio and works here every day. No production quotas, no corporate scripts, no stranger reviewing your chart from three states away.
05
The no-guilt-trip policy
Six months overdue or six years — you'll get a plan, not a lecture. Dental shame keeps people out of the chair, and that helps exactly no one.
06
One-visit crowns, in-house
Our CEREC mill makes permanent ceramic crowns while you watch TV — no goopy molds, no temporary crown, no second appointment.

Book in minutes
Online or by phone — Ana answers, not a phone tree. New patients get in the same week, emergencies the same day.
Prices before anything
Exam first, then a written plan with every cost on it. You approve it, question it, or take it home. No surprise bills, ever.
Gentle, honest care
We numb first and explain always. Ceiling TVs, headphones, and a raise-your-hand-we-stop rule that's never been broken.
No guilt trips
You leave with a plan that fits your mouth and your budget — and friendly text reminders instead of lectures.

The office Dr. Castillo wished existed. So she built it.
Maya Castillo grew up off Hill Road, close enough to the foothills that her mother's standing threat was 'clean your room or no Camel's Back.' She was also, by her own cheerful admission, a terrible dental patient — a canceler, a white-knuckler, a kid who once hid in the car. Not because anything hurt, exactly. Because nobody ever told her what was about to happen, and because every visit came with a sermon about flossing delivered to a nine-year-old like a parole hearing.
Ceiling TVs. Noise-canceling headphones. Numbing before everything. Prices on paper. And a strict, staff-wide ban on guilt trips — the flossing lecture died in this building in 2018.

“Six years of dread, over in ninety minutes. The price was on a printed sheet before I even got numb — and nobody said a word about the six years.”

Our two-year-old's visit was free, which we assumed meant it would be quick and dismissive. It was twenty whole minutes of tooth-counting games and a chair ride, and our daughter now asks when she 'gets' to go back. Our …

The studio, and the people who stopped flinching

One studio, the whole Treasure Valley
We're on State Street in Boise, near Hill Road — and our patients drive in from every corner of the valley, some past a dozen other offices. Find your town below for the local details.
Fair questions, straight answers
The things people actually ask Ana on the phone — including the one about being scared. Especially that one.
All questions answeredDo you take my insurance?
We work with most major PPO plans — Delta Dental, Blue Cross of Idaho, Cigna, MetLife, and others — and we file the paperwork for you. Call with your plan details and Ana will verify your benefits before your visit so the estimate you see includes what insurance actually covers. If you don't have insurance, the Juniper Plan ($29/month) covers your cleanings and takes 20% off everything else.
How do prices work at Juniper?
Every treatment gets a written price before we start — that's a founding rule, not a slogan. Exams and cleanings have flat prices, and anything Dr. Castillo recommends comes as a printed plan with each item costed. You approve it, or you don't, or you take it home and think about it. The number on the paper is the number on the bill.
Can I really get in the same week?
Yes — we deliberately keep same-week capacity open for new patients and hold same-day slots for emergencies. Boise offices quoting six-week waits usually have one dentist stretched across too many chairs. We book real appointment lengths, run on time, and protect openings. Call Monday, be seen by Friday. Usually sooner.
I'm scared of the dentist. Like, actually scared.
You're in the majority, and you're why the studio works the way it does: numbing before anything, ceiling TVs, noise-canceling headphones, a raise-your-hand-and-we-stop rule that's honored instantly, and zero lectures. Tell us when you book. We'll go at your pace, explain everything before it happens, and if all you can manage on visit one is sitting in the chair — that's a successful visit one.
Ready for a dentist you don't dread?
Same-week visits are real here. New patients: exam + X-rays + cleaning — $129 — and you'll know every price before we start.
